Clear answers before you decide
Understand what the score measures, what each plan includes, how the AI tools use your inputs, and what happens to your data.
Scores and data
What the exposure index measures, where its evidence comes from, and what it cannot predict.
What does an AI exposure score mean?
The 0-100 score estimates how strongly the tasks in an occupation overlap with current AI capabilities. A higher score means more task exposure, not that a job will disappear. It is not a layoff probability, a forecast about your employer, or a judgment about your ability.
How are the score bands defined?
Low 0-39; Moderate 40-48; Elevated 49-62; High 63-71; Very High 72-100. The bands are labels for the stored 0-100 index. They do not change based on your account, resume, or career stage.
Why is this more grounded than asking a general chatbot?
The free score is a precomputed occupation index, not a live language-model opinion. It starts with O*NET occupation, task, and skill data; adds Penn/OpenAI, Anthropic Economic Index, and AIOE evidence where a role has a valid match; and keeps BLS pay, employment, openings, and growth as separate labor-market context. Each occupation page states its own source coverage.
How current are the scores and labor-market facts?
Occupation scores follow a monthly recompute process. Each occupation page shows when its stored score was computed and which evidence matched that role. Layoff and WARN feeds use separate refresh schedules and are never added to the exposure score.
Plans and reports
What is free, what a one-time report includes, and how Pro billing works.
What is the difference between Free, a Career Report, and Pro?
Free gives you the occupation score, a sourced role snapshot, and a limited preview of the real task map and adjacent paths. A Career Report costs $29 once and adds the complete task map, exposure-aware adjacent paths, skill gaps, a 30/60/90-day plan, Agent Reality Check guidance, resume and LinkedIn repositioning, PDF export, and one-time starter AI-tool credits. Pro costs $14.99 monthly or $119 yearly and adds reports for scanned roles, recurring monitoring, the full tool library, and monthly tool quotas.
How long does a Career Report take to generate?
Your free score appears immediately. After checkout, report generation starts and is typically ready within a few minutes. The progress page updates automatically. Once generated, the report remains in your account and can be exported as a professional PDF.
What can personalize a Career Report?
You can add your real resume or LinkedIn text and optionally include sourced early-career labor-market context for study ages 22-25. These inputs tailor recommendations and draft assets; they never recalculate the occupation exposure score. Re-personalization is limited to five submissions per report per hour to prevent accidental loops.
What is the refund policy?
The Career Report has a 14-day money-back guarantee. Use the refund option on the contact form so the request is stored in the operator inbox. Subscription cancellation and a Career Report refund are different actions.
How do I cancel or resume Pro?
Open Billing and choose Cancel Pro. Cancellation stops renewal at the end of the current paid period, and access continues until that date. You can choose Keep Pro before the period ends. Deleting your account cancels an active Stripe subscription immediately before data erasure and does not create a refund for past charges.
AI tools
How the six tools use your evidence, save outputs, export files, and count against plan quotas.
What do the AI tools do?
The library includes resume repositioning, a LinkedIn rewrite, job-match analysis, interview practice, salary-negotiation planning, and Agent Reality Check. Each tool explains the inputs it uses and shows a static sample before you spend a quota. Outputs are calibrated to separate your facts from assumptions and missing information.
What information do the tools use?
You choose what to provide: pasted text, structured fields, a saved resume, or a supported uploaded document where offered. Job-match and role-aware tools can also use a stored occupation snapshot. The tool records which inputs were used, and it does not silently substitute a different resume or rerun itself.
Can I return to or export an AI-tool result?
Yes. Every completed run is saved to your account. You can reopen it, copy it, download the Markdown, or export a professional PDF. Saved outputs remain available even if an entitlement later expires; generating or rerunning requires current access and quota.
What AI-tool credits are included?
Each separately purchased Career Report adds these one-time starter credits: 3 résumé rewrites, 2 LinkedIn rewrites, 10 job-match analyses, 1 interview session, and 3 agent reality checks. The salary assistant is Pro-only. Pro includes these monthly limits: 30 résumé rewrites, 15 LinkedIn rewrites, 100 job-match analyses, 40 interview sessions, 15 salary plans, and 40 agent reality checks. These are real limits and reset monthly for Pro.
Can a free account try job matching?
Yes. Logged-in free users get a deterministic job-match LITE read based on title matching, stored exposure data, and O*NET skill overlap. It is clearly labeled as a keyword-and-data check, not the full AI analysis. A free account also includes one live AI job-match analysis. The deterministic LITE check remains available after that analysis is used.
How are AI outputs kept honest?
Tool prompts require the inputs used, assumptions and missing information, a calibrated recommendation, and next actions. Job match uses fit bands instead of invented percentages. Salary guidance does not invent compensation figures when you did not supply them. Draft resume, LinkedIn, and interview content must still be reviewed against your real facts before use.
Account and privacy
How saved resumes, uploaded files, service providers, and account deletion are handled.
Where do I manage resumes used by the tools?
Use the resume library in Settings. Upload once, then explicitly select a saved resume on supported tools. Files are virus-scanned before parsing when the scanner is available. The original file is discarded after extraction; only the extracted text and resume metadata are saved.
Who processes my data?
AI-Safe Careers uses Stripe for payments and Anthropic for the AI text you explicitly submit to paid or included tool generations. First-party analytics measure basic site use without Google Analytics, cross-site advertising cookies, or third-party ad trackers. AI-Safe Careers does not sell your data.
Can I delete my account and saved data?
Yes. The self-service deletion flow removes account-linked scans, reports, AI generations, resumes, applications, contact records, and other stored account data. If a concrete active Stripe subscription exists, cancellation must be confirmed before deletion proceeds; the flow fails closed if that cannot be verified.
How do I get billing or product help?
Use the contact form and choose the closest subject. Messages are stored before notification is attempted, so a mail-delivery problem does not discard the request. Refund and billing requests are marked for operator follow-up.
